“What is best for the child? What would I do if this were my own child?”
These two questions guide every decision Dr. Roberta Kerr makes, and it shows. Parents consistently praise her gentle touch, thoughtful approach, and remarkable ability to help even the most anxious children feel completely at ease.
Exceptional Educational Foundation
Dr. Kerr’s unique combination of clinical expertise and public health perspective sets her apart. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota, she completed both her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health—giving her deep insight into both individual patient care and community health needs.
Her true calling emerged during general practice in Milwaukee, where she discovered her gift for working with children and those with special healthcare needs. This led to her pediatric dental residency and Master of Science from Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University—one of the nation’s premier pediatric programs.
Specialized Expertise That Changes Lives
Dr. Kerr has developed particular expertise in treating children with special healthcare needs, creating individualized treatment plans that respect each child’s unique challenges and strengths. Her advanced training in laser tongue-tie release has helped countless families overcome feeding difficulties, speech delays, and sleep issues that were impacting their children’s development.
The Perfect Complement to Our Team
What makes Dr. Kerr invaluable is her ability to blend evidence-based medicine with intuitive patient care. She stays current with the latest research through her memberships in the American Laser Study Club and PV Study Club, but never loses sight of the child in front of her who needs comfort, understanding, and gentle care.
A Mother’s Heart
As a mother of two herself, Dr. Kerr brings both professional expertise and parental empathy to every appointment. When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find her hiking Arizona’s trails, enjoying a good book, or attending musicals with her family.
